2nd Try is a video streaming service launched by The Try Guys in 2024. It evolved from its roots as a YouTube channel into a streaming service with individual shows and a larger cast.  As Social Editor, my role was to lead the creation of a standardized, updated look for all rebranded shows, ensuring a cohesive and polished aesthetic across the platform. I also worked closely with other departments, guiding them in creating cohesive assets that would align with the overall brand vision, helping to inform both concept and strategy.

The primary goal of 2ndTry.tv was to create a unified fan experience while maintaining consistency across YouTube and various social media platforms. My strategy focused on curating content that resonated with our audience and enhancing engagement by ensuring every visual element, from social posts to video thumbnails, felt part of a larger whole. Our social strategy was carefully designed to transition our audience towards a paid model, seamlessly introducing them to content that demonstrated added value.

The Try Guys Show followed the same successful formula as previous content on the channel, with the cast dedicating each episode to learning a new profession or tackling an intriguing challenge. As a result, we needed to create branding and assets that maintained a connection to our established identity, while also incorporating a refreshed, modern look.

"Without a Recipe" is one of 2nd Try's most popular shows, with its branding evolving each season to reflect current trends and maintain a dynamic, fresh visual identity that aligns with our audience and brand values.

Find the Cake (Feat. The Boyz)

This episode is on 2nd try and Youtube and is hosted by Jonny Cakes (Is it Cake?, Netflix)

Our social strategy 

successfully created  anticipation and drove engagement for posts across all platforms.  

Part of the game in this episode was about finding hidden cakes throughout a room.  I devised a fun interactive post to  engage our fan base to find the hidden guest whose logo is hidden in one of these images.

Escape the Kitchen

The concept of Escape the Kitchen involves placing contestants in a set designed as a cooking-themed escape room challenge.

 

The show is competitive in nature and features a sleek, clinical aesthetic reminiscent of a laboratory environment!

This poster was designed by me to support and advertise an event hosted by creators to support victims of the LA wildfires in January of 2025. 

 

This was used as the main flyer for this event on social media.
